Common Bankruptcy Question – I am planning on Filing Bankruptcy, Can I stop paying my monthly bill.

Yes, but be careful.

First off, if you are planning on filing bankruptcy you MUST stop using your credit cards right away. IF you continue to use your cards you may be required to pay back some of your debt or your bankruptcy discharge may even be denied all together.

Second, be sure you are going through with the bankruptcy. If you do not end up going through with the bankruptcy you will have extra fees and interest to pay back. Thus your bad financial situation will have gotten worse.
